The Ceibal plan participate in the South American Summit Ministerial Authorities "Technology Leadership in Education" to be held in Punta del Este, on June 3 and 4, 2010.
This is a South American Meeting of Ministerial Education Authorities in which participation of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
It is organized by Mobile Learning Institute (MLI), patrocinadopor Pearson Foundation and Nokia, and aims to "create areas of discussion about how digital practices can transform the way young people learn and actively participate in the community."

Participation will be in groups of 2.
You can invite a family member or a friend (a) for this challenge.
Categories and prizes:
Category 1 - 6-11 years - two portable music players
Category 2 - 12-15 years - two portable music players
Category 3 - 16-18 years - 2 digital cameras
Category 4 to 19 years and older - 2 digital cameras
The authors of the best story in each category will each receive the corresponding prize.
The court may decide indications for each category.

Today on the site Portal Ceibal, I was reading about the entry of the XO in the classroom, has changed the relationship of teacher and parents of children with learning and has also boosted the ratio of all these agents. The teachers often wonder how to use the laptop is not a tool, but to advance the autonomy of the student and make the true protagonist of their learning. Description:

For this Quarter I'm going to keep Exploring Ceibal, because I want to learn more about it. every day I read, I learn something new. In the ceibal site every day I learn more, learn new thing, things I didn't know. I hope that I could learn more than I know by the end of the fourth quarter.

Goals:

1. Learn more about Ceibal.
2. Improve in what I have learn.
3. Try to get more information about the Ceibal project so I could translate what's on Spanish to English so you can use it to teach the kids who don't know Spanish.
4. Search for other wed page that, I can use to learn more about ceibal.

Resources:

1. At this moment I only have one wed site as a resource that is Portal Ceibal.

Timeline:

1. By the end of the quarter maybe I will know more than I already know about the Ceibal project.
2. Maybe I'll have something good to translated so you can teach it next year.

The XO will have software to learn English

“English for fun” is the name of the software donated by the Pearson Foundation for more than nine thousand students participating this year Caacupé on "One laptop per child", launched yesterday in Uruguay. this is a great idea because the kids will be learning English and will be entertaining at the same time. if you want to read more about this a rticle just go here. Today I played another game on the web site Portal Ceibal. It teaches you how to stop people who smoke cigarettes. Because the cigarette ends with human life. I think is a great idea for people to be teaching about subject. Because the cigarette is bad for your subject and if they didn't teach that there will be more people smoking. Inauguración: Aula Ceibal

Today I was reading that On Tuesday, 23 when at 10 a.m is going to be open the first classroom in Av Ceibal Sayago and railway (motorcycling)
This is a development with private companies that want to collaborate with the Plan, setting up a classroom with XO, connectivity, server, and everything needed to run the XO, at the expense of the company.
The purpose is to support children and parents outside school hours.

All this week I been playing with the small green computer. I been playing a game call maze the game is good because it test your mind. the game is not that hard but it test your mentality.

Today I was playing with the small green computer it was fun to learn how to play in the small computer. I hope that as the time passes, I could learn more about this computer, it was fun not just reading about the computer but using it.

I could not find a link to the book I was talking about. but there is another book about the Plan Ceibal that talks about Uruguay: giving one Laptop for each Child PLAN CEIBAL. And that The Eyes of the World is in the First National Scale Model OLPC. click here to find the book. I think it would be interesting to read it.

Today I was reading that the 10th of this months will we taking place the presentation of the book "On the way of the CEIBAL Plan". I think it would be a good idea to have this book so i could learn more about the Ceibal Plan , there are many ways to learn about the Ceibal Plan. but with the book I think, I would be able to learn more about what the want to do with the Ceibal Plan.

Today I listened to a bit of what they say on the radio of Uruguay about the Portal Ceibal. this report was done by a sports reporter is a little about what he thinks of the plan Ceibal. For me this is a great opportunity to learn about something i didn't know. I hope that as time passes by I can learn more about this project and what the government of Uruguay wants to do with it.

I'm still learning thing I didn't know, about this site because I understand better what they write because is in the language I speak better that's spanish.
